As the central link in the Seine-Escaut network, it forms part of the North Sea-Rhine-Mediterranean multimodal corridor, which is supported by the European Union. The project aims to enhance the logistical performance of the region while addressing the challenges of ecological transition.
Led by the Société du Canal Seine-Nord Europe (SCSNE), a public institution headed by the major local authorities in the Hauts-de-France region, the project involves a group of public and private stakeholders. The ONE consortium, led by Egis and comprising Ingérop, ISL, SBE, MDP, Ney & Partners and AEI, is handling project management for sectors 2 (44 km) and 4 (28 km), as well as six of the seven locks. The consortium is supporting the design, construction and commissioning of the project, and has already achieved several important milestones for the Seine-Nord Europe Canal alongside SCSNE.
