Monroe County Regional Waste District Formation | Wastewater
MONROE COUNTY, IN—Working with community leaders, BLN helped Monroe County expand their sanitary sewer system to include unincorporated communities.
South Henry Regional Waste District
The newly formed district is comprised of Dunreith, Straughn, and Lewisville. BLN worked with the District to provide planning, design and construction management / observation for this project located along US 40. The project included a new sanitary sewer collection system. The District has approximately 500 users and more than 120,000 feet of gravity and pressure sewer, with gravity sewers serving the vast majority of the users.
Little Raccoon Regional Waste District
The Little Raccoon Regional Waste District was formed as BLN worked with community leaders to provide sanitary sewer service for approximately 400 users. BLN helped plan and implement this new regional waste district including sanitary sewer service for the towns of Waveland and Russellville. BLN worked with the District to provide planning, design and construction management / observation for this project. Included was the new collection systems and a wastewater treatment lagoon. The work involved 90,000 feet of gravity and pressure sewer. Recently, BLN worked the district to provide planning, design and construction management / observation for improvements to the treatment facility.
